ELISA FIORILLO

So I was driving across the desert from Las Vegas to LA for a gig...and I was so moved. So inspired to start writing new material for a new album. I've got so many ideas floating around in my head and I'm very excited to get started on my journey. I will reveal clips "sneak peaks" of my new material as the music is created. I don't get these urges to create as often as I would like. But to me, everything happens in due time. When the time is right and the moment is ready to be there-it is there. I haven't felt this creative since "Labor Of Love" when I was pregnant with my little girl Olivia. I guess it's been almost 4 years so it's about time to get out of my writing rut and start moving forward. I guess I had a good enough excuse for taking time off...I was very busy raising my little girl and being there as her full time mommy. Now that she is going to pre-school...mommy has a little more time for herself...and guess what...I'm excited to have some creative time to myself. I already have my album title. I'll reveal that later too :o ! Sorry...don't mean to keep secrets but I don't want to let the cat out of the bag till it's time to share it all with you. Working with Prince this past year and seeing how he lives and breathes music- I've been seriously revived. I feel like it's awoken my spirit to be all that I am. Soon you will see what I am up to. I had a number of people ask me what song is playing on the front page of my website. You can hear the song in it's entirety on the Bio page. You can turn the sound on or off at the bottom of the page. The song is a song I wrote in 2000 called "Little Flower". I seriously had a dream and in the dream, the melody came to me. I woke up and sang it into a tape recorder and the next day the words flowed from my brain onto the paper. My maiden/stage name "Fiorillo" means "Little Flower" in Italian. I wanted to write a song about growth, going after your dreams and letting go of your fears....and it just so happened that while I was writing it I realized that a flower has a lot of the same qualities, ups and downs and cycles that we have. It is one of my favorite songs. I will change the songs on the front page and bio page periodically and feature some of my favorite original songs. I am currently working on making them available for download...I'll keep you posted when I get it all figured out! Thanks for your support and for inquiring about "Little Flower".  Luv- Elisa

Welcome all to my new website! I will try my hardest to keep it updated and stay on top of all that is going on in my world. 

Definitely busy being a mom and a wife...and loving every minute of it. I even started playing golf with my hubby! I wasn't too bad at it either :o Getting ready to do a gig this weekend at The Stirling Club. I wish it wasn't a private club so some of you could come and hear me sing. I will be performing at the end of the month with a wonderful Blues Singer here in Las Vegas named Ronnie Rose. We will be doing a gig at The House Of Blues inside Mandalay Bay. I have been so fortunate to be working with Prince again. It's been over 20 years (but unbelievably I'm still 20!) We had a blast in Paris...we rocked The Grand Palais for two shows and then La Cigale for one really unbelievable night of music (a 3 hour gig- set to the music of Gilligans Island "A three hour tour"!). We had terrific audiences and the love we received from the Parisian's was overwhelming. We also did a radio show and a tv show. Then we came back to the states and rocked Paisley Park! That was a very special show because they set up a coat drive and they raised a lot of coats to keep all those Minnesotans warm this winter. (And it is cold there!!!)  I can't begin to tell you how much fun I'm having working with him and my new girlz- Shelby J. and Liv Warfield. They are two of the greatest singers and together the three of us are really starting to "blend" and it's really a perfect fit. The band are all wonderful people. Feels like a family. I am so happy to be singing again and hope that this will be the start of my creative flow flowing again...I am currently writing more songs and finding a new direction to go musically. It will be very interesting discovering what  direction God will take me in. I'm just holding on, taking the ride and smiling all the way :o
